When it comes to apparel brands I have always found them cool in how they are able to create various types of designs that still relate to the brand. This is what I wanted to do for my personal project so I came up with a skateboarding apparel brand called Odd World. “To be able to think outside the box and be able to use awkward, eccentric, and psychedelic designs and incorporate them into our brand.” The brand’s mission statement summarizes what kind of brand this is and how the designs should look like.
Behind The Design
Since this was a skateboarding brand I wanted to make the logo have an interesting element to it. I had to come up with something that would also relate to the mission statement and what I came up with was having a hand motif hold the brand name. This design allowed me to come up with other designs that would not only relate to the brand logo but also the mission statement. I was also able to create various types of designs that would be used in items such as apparel, pins, and stickers.
